A Very Spooktacular Halloween!

First I would like to thank all the parents for the goodies and their time! The whole second grade had a great time. We first attended the fun fair put on by the eighth graders. They hosted games, activities, and even snacks !


Room 201 then heard a silly story about a skeleton with the hiccups! We made skeletons ourselves!


Finally we had a spooktacular party in our room with 202! We had treats, popcorn, ice cream sodas, and watched Madagascar 3 on the big screen! Wow, what a day!

5 steps of writing

I am at it again....making an anchor chart!!! I can't help it , I love a great anchor chart...ask my 2nd graders, they know:)
Well, lately we have been working through the 5 steps of writing. I feel a fabulous anchor chart is in order so that's what I did! Check out the pieces:

The 5 steps: brainstorm, rough draft, revise, edit, publish. I will attach this to brown butcher paper, and laminate. Then the kids can keep track of where they are by putting a clothespin next to their step.
